A hoard of mechanical, chemical and electrical engineers visited the stand of Paks II. Ltd. at the job fair of BME.

A hundred exhibitor attended Hungary’s biggest job fair, the 50th job fair of the Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME). The regular participant of the event for years has been Paks II. Ltd., whose stand was perhaps even more popular this time than ever before.

– On 13-14 October, for two days my colleagues stood hard, as from dawn till dusk the interested to came, István Mittler said. The Communications Director of Paks II. Ltd. added that on the second day, six employees awaited the jobseekers. – We knew that there would be a lot of people interested, as BME has thousands of students, and the program is open, but we didn't expect this much interest. There was always a crowd in front of our stand, its design of which we also received a lot of positive feedback about by the way. It says a lot that our HR director, Péter Bognár, who visited the site for a few hours, also had to step in and help our attendees, helping them in their work, the director said. He added that it was telling that towards the end of the program, another exhibitor also visited the Paks II. booth to ask what is the secret of the interest that did not want to cease.

– My colleagues reported that there was a lot of interest regarding internships, and the program „I will be an Engineer at Paks II” also came into focus. It would be impossible to say exactly how many visitors we had, but we estimate their number at least hundreds, István Mittler informed.

Paks II. Ltd. will turn up at several job fairs this autumn. These include traditional opportunities to meet in person, but those looking for a job or a career opportunity can also meet the company's offers on an online job fair.

– The experiences of BME also prove that young people see the perspective in the Paks II. project. There is every reason for this, as the task of our company is not only the construction of the units but also their commissioning and operation. As the planned lifetime is sixty years, those who vote for the project, the use of nuclear power, can spend their entire lives here.

The stand of Paks II. Ltd. will attend the JOB4me virtual job fair next time on 20-21 October, followed by 27 October at the University of Debrecen and the University of Dunaújváros in November. The company also presents its actual job opportunities on its career page
