The entrepreneurs from Tolna County were able to get information about the Paks II. project.

At the invitation of the Tolna County Chamber of Commerce and Industry, János Süli, Minister without Portfolio, dr. Attila Becskeházi State Secretary and István Lenkei CEO in Szekszárd reported about the Paks II. investment.

János Süli spoke to the guests of the forum about the regional development tasks affecting the region and the international situation of nuclear energy. He analyzed the causes and consequences of the energy price increase in Europe and around the world, and drew attention to the consequences of the German energy policy, pointing out that the population in Berlin pays almost five times as much for a kilowatt-hour than in Hungary.

Attila Becskeházi provided information on the investments related to the project and its framework, describing, among other things, the development goals of the Central Danube Priority Area, which was established in 2020 and includes 99 settlements, and the tasks of the Central Danube Development Agency. The State Secretary also spoke about the means used to help Hungarian companies join the project.

In his presentation on the current state of the investment, István Lenkei pointed out that the company had recently submitted a number of important license applications, including documents for long-lead items and plans for the Unit 5 reactor building and its nuclear island buildings. He also mentioned that Paks II. Ltd. completed the tasks by 31 January, which were required by the authority in the procedure for filling the gaps in the implementation licensing.
