Special physics class in Simontornya

Dr. Attila Aszódi government commissioner held an interesting lecture about the Paks II. project for about 100 pupils of the Vak Bottyán Elementary and Secondary School of Simontornya on 20 March 2017.

The special physics class event series started back in 2015 in Kalocsa. The lectures were already seen by the secondary school students of Paks, Szekszárd and Dunaföldvár as well. The latest station of the events was Simontornya. The interested were welcomed by mayor Edit Csőszné Kacz, and highlighted that a lot of people are working in the nuclear power plant who reside in Simontornya, and she hopes that many of younger generations will get jobs during the construction and operation of the new nuclear power plant units as engineers, technicians and workmen.

Following the welcome speech, Dr. Attila Aszódi emphasised the security of supply, climate protection and holding the price of the electricity at an affordable price during his lecture about Paks II. As in the case of the previous physics classes, the presentation held several spectacular and understandable examples. Following the lecture the government commissioner answered the students’ questions in great detail.
