The interactive truck of Paks II. received the international professional jury’s approval at the Atomexpo Event in Sochi in May 2018 in PR category. The mobile exhibition displaying nuclear energy and the Paks II. project awaits the interested at 8 domestic festivals with interactive programs, games and relaxing opportunities.

The exhibit has already visited every settlement in Hungary with a population over 5000 since 2009 and hosted more than 300.000 guests. The information tour continues in the summer season of 2018 at 8 domestic festivals. The fully renewed interactive truck attends VOLT in Sopron (26-30 June), Balaton Sound in Zamárdi (4-8 July), EFOTT in Velence (10-15 July) and Campus Festival in Debrecen (18-21 July). Following this it visits East Fest in Mezőtúr (24-28 July), Sziget (8-14 August), Debrecen Flower Carnival (17-20 August) and SZIN (22-25 August).

The visitors can gain information about nuclear energy, the currently operating 4 power plant units of the Paks NPP and the establishment of the 2 new Paks NPP units via interactive displays. The interested can gain info regarding the results of the project so far, the significance of the investment, and its social, economic and environmental effects. The guests can see photos of the milestones and events of the Paks II. project. They can also gain knowledge about the 3+ gen. VVER-1200 power plant units among others via short films, and they can have a virtual tour in a nuclear power plant, which is similar to the one designed for Paks. A new event of the exhibit is an augmented reality app, which can be used with a smart phone or the provided tablets to have a virtual flight around the two VVER-1200 units. The visitors can check their knowledge following the exhibit.

Besides providing information – as in the case before – fun and relaxation will also have an important role. A new program is the so-called „Answer hunter”: every day a new question regarding Paks II. or nuclear energy awaits the festival-goers. Those who know the correct answer – which can be found somewhere in the exhibition – will receive a prize. Twister is also a new game, which will be unique thanks to the questions connected to the nuclear exhibit – prizes can be won here as well. Via the so-called „energy-generating bicycle” anyone can experience how much energy you need to operate a simple household device. Our Energy Island will also stand this year as well, next to the truck, where anyone can charge their mobile phone, play with wheel of fortune or scratch cards. Relaxation is made possible via beanbags and hammocks.
