Paks II. Ltd.’s charity campaign for children

Gifts donated by the employees of Paks II. Ltd. were handed over by János Süli minister responsible for the investment, István Lenkei CEO and István Mittler Communications Director at the Pediatric Unit of the Tolna Megyei Balassa János Hospital.

János Süli, the minister without portfolio responsible for the design, construction and installation of the two new nuclear power plant units of Paks, István Lenkei, CEO of Paks II. Ltd. and István Mittler Communications Director were hosted by Dr. Csaba Németh Director General and Rezső Ács mayor of Szekszárd at the Pediatric Unit of the Tolna Megyei Balassa János Hospital.

In the presence of József Pál Finance-technical Director, Erzsébet Gliedné Tillmann Director of Nursing, Dr. Mária Szücs Medical Director, Dr. Ferenc Harangi Chief Physician, the director general of the hospital welcomed the fact, that the employees working on the establishment of the new nuclear power plant units thought about children who can not spend Christmas holidays at home with their families.

János Süli minister emphasized that he was willing to support Paks II. Ltd.’s initiative.  He added: however, there is a lot to do concerning the project of which aim is the compilation of the implementation license application, experts working on the project felt crucial to cheer up children with these donated gifts. János Süli thanked for the employees of the hospital who look after the children during the holidays as well. 

István Lenkei, CEO said that there are lots of young people among the employees of Paks II. Ltd., but many parents and grand-parents work at the company as well, therefore it is a matter of course that besides the preparatory-work of the establishment of the new units they think about children who need care, especially during the Christmas holidays. The CEO added that the company had joined to the nationwide featured „shoe-box” campaign last year, this year as the employees suggested, the decision was made for a more personal way of gift-giving.   István Mittler Communications Director pointed out that some of these children they met today, can work later for the 60-year long operating nuclear power plant in the future. On behalf of Paks II. Ltd.’s employees he wished for children with János Süli and István Lenkei a quick recovery and merry Christmas.
