Cloud9+ controls the Paks Nuclear Power Plant

After rock and roll, electronic music has been given a leading role in the virtual control centre of the Paks Nuclear Power Plant. The interactive exhibition of the Paks Nuclear Power Plant and MVM Paks II. Nuclear Power Plant Development Ltd. arrived at the third venue of its festival tour, the Valley of Arts. Before their evening concert, members of the band Cloud 9+ also visited the Interactive Lorry bearing the logo ‘Energy for Our Future’, trying out the control console simulator plunging the whole country into darkness.
‘Hooligans’ control nuclear power plant at the EFOTT Festival

Rock and roll has been given the leading role again at the interactive exhibition of the Paks Nuclear Power Plant and MVM Paks II. Nuclear Power Plant Development Ltd. The rockers of the band Hooligans visited the interactive truck bearing the logo ‘Energy for Our Future’, which had arrived at the second stop of its festival tour this year, EFOTT organised in Miskolctapolca, in order to take command of the realistic control console of the nuclear power plant.

The interactive exhibition of the Paks Nuclear Power Plant and MVM Paks II. Nuclear Power Plant Development Ltd. has arrived at the first venue of its festival tour this year, the VOLT Festival. The interactive truck bearing the logo ‘Energy for Our Future’ was visited by a band of international fame, Ivan & The Parazol, where rock and roll took control of the realistic control console simulator of the Paks Nuclear Power Plant within a few minutes.

The interactive exhibition of the Paks Nuclear Power Plant and MVM Paks II. Nuclear Power Plant Development Ltd. kicks off its festival tour this year at the VOLT Festival between 2 and 6 July. In the interactive truck bearing the logo ‘Energy for Our Future’, in addition to the realistic control console simulator of the nuclear power plant, festival-goers can also try out a power generating bike between two concerts, and specialists working in Paks will be on hand to answer their questions.
MVM Paks II. Ltd. holds a public hearing

Organised by the Hungarian Atomic Energy Agency (HAEA), MVM Paks II. Nuclear Power Plant Development Ltd. held a successful public hearing on 5 May 2014 in connection with the authorisation of the site assessment and evaluation of the new nuclear power plant units in the council hall of the Mayor’s Office of the town of Paks. The public hearing was carried out successfully, in accordance with the statutory regulations.
Paks II. project to boost economic growth

The construction of two new units for the Paks Nuclear Power Plant is the project of the century. The project may create a significant number of jobs at a number of manufacturing and service companies, as well as in education through the required training of fresh professional graduates, thereby providing a livelihood for several tens of thousands of people. The identification of potential domestic suppliers and subcontractors has begun. Nearly 400 companies have come forward so far in order to contribute to the up to 40% proportion of domestic suppliers. More than three-quarters of the population support the already operational nuclear power plant, and the managers of the identified domestic companies unanimously support the establishment of the new units.
Budapest University of Technology and Economics and MVM Paks II. Ltd. discuss professional cooperation

The heads and executives of the Budapest University of Technology and Economics, MVM Paks II. Nuclear Power Plant Development Ltd. managing the project and MVM ERBE Ltd. performing underlying engineering activities have held consultations on the possibilities of cooperation in the capacity maintenance of the Paks Nuclear Power Plant and the necessary directions of teaching in higher education in engineering. At the meeting, the parties reviewed in detail the role and possibilities of the university in the proposed establishment of the new nuclear power plant units.
First six events of the ‘Company of Our Future’ information programme series successfully completed

MVM Paks II. Ltd. has held information programmes for the representatives of more than 300 Hungarian microbusinesses, small and medium-sized enterprises, and large companies at six different locations in the country. The series of events began on 18 November 2013 in Paks, followed by Kalocsa, Veszprém, Komárom, Debrecen and Miskolc.
Interactive truck kicks off its 2014 tour

This year’s country tour of the interactive truck bearing the logo ‘Energy for Our Future’ began at the foot of the castle of Pipó of Ozora in Ozora. In 2014, the mobile information centre will visit municipalities with populations between 1,500 and 5,000 in Tolna, Bács-Kiskun, Fejér, Somogy and Baranya counties. According to plans, naturally, this year’s stops will also include large festivals in Hungary.
